Welcome to finish it up Friday!

I’ve been working on this project for the past handful of weeks, but due to the want for a finish these days, I worked extra hard to get it carried out. I’m so glad that I did! This is referred to as the Sew It Goes Tote, and it’s a pattern created by my extremely talented friend Kristin. Isn’t it sooo cute???

The tote was designed for traveling with a hand work project. I love that it has a ton of compartments for all the little issues that you need to have when you are hand stitching. I was a tiny intimidated by this project (four zipper compartments alone…plus vinyl), but I took it step by step and worked slowly. It came with each other very effectively! It really wasn’t that tough…just a tiny time consuming. 🙂 My buddy Mary also made the project and she advisable cutting out all the pieces initial. That goes against all my inclinations (what if I adjust my thoughts on a fabric?) but that was wonderful suggestions.

Turns out I’m really happy with my fabric selections! There are wonderful diagrams in the pattern that show where every single piece belongs, so that created deciding on the fabrics much easier.

When I wasn’t positive what fabric to use, I chose Essex Linen in Flax. I enjoy linen paired with all of the printed fabrics.

I chose the aqua accents, simply because these have been the zippers I had on hand. Plus, aqua and red is a combination that is tough to beat!

One of my favorite components is a mini design board (undoubtedly squeal-worthy!)….

…that fits in the back pocket. So entertaining!

I adore, love, Really like how it turned out! I also don’t thoughts 1 bit that my version appears like a present! The tote measures about 10″ x ten”. The pattern is available for acquire here.
I believe I need to start a new hand operate project….soon!

How about you? Do you have a finish to share? If so, please link up. Thank you, as often, for joining me for finish it up Friday! ‘)
